The Greek Word for a Womb

I did do Latin at school, but was spared Greek; and the Greek word for a womb has eluded me up till now.

The words "clever and playful" were presumably meant to help, but they only made me think of a kitten.

I would have been inclined to point out that this name may well have come about because given the nature of this creature, it's rather surprising that it has a womb (and is therefore a mammal).
